Rexnord Planetgear 7000 concentric planetary reducers
Partner brands: Rexnord
The concentric planetary reducers Rexnord Planetgear 7000 provide a high torque density solution for the most severe industrial applications. Their design with self-aligning planet carriers ensures uniform load distribution across three points of contact, achieving up to 50% weight and space savings compared to conventional drives.
- Sizes: 19 optimised sizes to cover wide torque ranges (see models tab).
- Torque capacity: from 8,000 lb-in up to 3,000,000 lb-in depending on the selected model.
- Ratios: standard ranges from 3.53:1 to 1785:1.
- Energy efficiency: in excess of 97.5% per reduction stage.
- Seal protection: standard Taconite-duty design with double seals and a grease purgeable cavity for highly contaminated environments.
- Ability to absorb up to 250% momentary overload without affecting the drive train integrity.
- Hydraulic removal technology (Hydro-Advantage): hydraulic assistance system that allows fast and safe disassembly, exclusive to shaft-mounted models (SMP series).
- Configurations available for foot mounting (horizontal/vertical) or direct shaft mounting via shrink disc.
7000 Series (foot mounted): designed for fixed base-mounted installations.
- Compact models: Mercury (8,000 lb-in) and Mars (18,000 lb-in). Ideal for applications with space constraints.
- Standard models: Venus (24,000 lb-in), Atlas (43,000 lb-in), Luna (51,000 lb-in), Earth (76,000 lb-in), Polaris (120.000 lb-in), Delta (154,000 lb-in), and Neptune (160,000 lb-in).
- Plus models (enhanced geometry): Neptune Plus (238,000 lb-in), Orion Plus (316,000 lb-in), Saturn Plus (450,000 lb-in), Titan Plus (643,000 lb-in), and Jupiter Plus (905,000 lb-in). These offer between 15% and 50% more torque within the same housing size.
SMP Series (shaft mounted): designed for direct mounting to the driven machine shaft via hollow shaft. Includes the Hydro-Advantage hydraulic removal system.
- High torque models: Orion (280,000 lb-in), Titan (480,000 lb-in), Jupiter (830,000 lb-in), Gemini (1,760,000 lb-in), and Hercules (3,000,000 lb-in).
