Cambridge Water Screen Systems
Cambridge filtration systems are the first line of defense for your critical assets. Designed to remove debris, trash, and organic material from cooling towers, rivers, or pumping stations, these screens prevent costly clogging in heat exchangers and pumps. Available in Stationary versions for basic filtration and Traveling Water Screens (TWS) for automated, safe operation without the need for manual cleaning.
- “Drop-in” Design: compatible with existing guide channels; no modification to the tower or basin concrete structure is required.
- Extreme resistance: manufactured in stainless steel (T304 / T316) or galvanized steel to resist chemicals and corrosion.
- PE Certification: all designs feature a “Professional Engineer” stamp, guaranteeing structural integrity.
- Intelligent Monitoring: ready to integrate with the Perceptiv™ system for water level alerts and cleaning automation.
Stationary Water Screen – (SWS)
- Robust solution for basic filtration or maintenance.
- Custom design: no size limitations; manufactured to the exact dimensions of your basin or water intake.
- Easy installation: includes engineered lifting lugs for safe extraction.
- Versatility: ideal for use as backup protection during maintenance of larger traveling screens in natural water sources.
- Reinforced construction: high-strength structural frames with fine or coarse mesh options based on specific needs.
Traveling Water Screen – TWS
- Advanced solution for high efficiency and safety.
- Self-Cleaning: features a rotating mesh belt and an internal spray system that automatically removes debris.
- Eliminates the need to manually lift heavy screens, reducing the risk of personnel injuries.
- Continuous flow: prevents debris from bypassing the system during cleaning (a common issue in stationary screens due to the “undertow effect” during lifting).
- Return on Investment (ROI): dramatically reduces maintenance costs and plant downtime caused by clogged heat exchangers.
Traveling Water Screens – TWS
Self-cleaning rotating mesh belt system. Automatically removes debris using internal water sprays, ensuring constant flow without manual intervention.
- Advanced filtration system with a rotating wire mesh belt.
- The belt lifts debris from the water, and an internal spray-off system deposits it into a hopper for disposal.
- Key advantage: It is self-cleaning. It does not require personnel to lift heavy screens, increasing safety and efficiency.
- Installation: “Drop-in” design allows for the replacement of old screens without modifying the basin concrete structure.
Stationary Water Screens – SWS
Robust fixed-frame system with woven mesh. Requires manual removal for cleaning. Ideal for low-debris volume applications.
- Fixed filtration system composed of a structural frame and woven mesh overlay.
- Captures debris in natural or man-made water sources.
- When obstructed, it must be manually extracted using designed lifting lugs for external washing.
- Customization: no size limitations, with Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
Integrated Cooling Tower Solution
This product is a key component of the Regal Rexnord power train system, specifically engineered to maximize reliability in critical operating environments. For superior performance, this equipment integrates into a complete drive system along with Falk CTA gear drives, Addax carbon fiber couplings, Addax mechanical brakes, and Cambridge water screens. Together, these components form a robust solution that eliminates corrosion issues and reduces maintenance costs.
