Technology, Efficiency, and Reliability: Caproin’s Participation in the ISSCT 2025 Congress

Throughout the four-day event, Caproin participated with a clear focus — sharing its technical expertise, presenting new process improvement solutions, and, above all, strengthening its commitment to the growth of the sugarcane sector.

Our booth became a space for dialogue and exchange, where engineers, plant managers, and international visitors learned firsthand about the strength of our represented brands and the applications that are transforming industrial processes in Colombia and across Latin America.

Participating in the ISSCT 2025 Congress was much more than exhibiting products. For Caproin, it was an opportunity to connect with the real challenges of the sector, listen directly to the needs of sugar mills, and demonstrate why technical support and close collaboration remain essential parts of our value proposition.

One of the key themes of the congress was safety and cleanliness in sugar production. In this area, Caproin presented Eriez magnetic solutions, a world leader in metal separation and detection technologies.

Eriez equipment — such as electromagnets and magnetic drums — is designed to ensure contaminant removal while meeting top international standards such as HACCP and ISO 22000. This allows mills to operate with safer, more stable, and more reliable processes, ensuring product purity and regulatory compliance.

Another major focus of the event was the optimization of power transmission systems. In this field, Caproin showcased Regal Rexnord – Falk couplings and gear drives, recognized for their strength and durability in critical industrial applications.

Visitors had the opportunity to learn how these components enhance plant reliability by reducing corrective maintenance and extending the lifespan of key operating elements.

The Spanish brand Guibe, also represented by Caproin, drew the attention of attendees with its large, custom-made gearboxes for mills. These systems incorporate real-time monitoring technologies that allow key variables to be tracked and maintenance needs anticipated. Several of these units are already operating successfully in mills across Colombia, proving their quality and efficiency in the field.

Caproin’s technical exhibit was complemented by John King’s range of engineering chains, designed for high performance and long service life. Thanks to enhanced alloys and specialized treatments, these chains have become a reference solution for mills seeking to reduce maintenance time without compromising operational reliability.
